Madhya Pradesh is a state located in central India. It has a literacy rate of 70.6%, which is slightly lower than the national average. The state has a number of universities, including the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Indore, and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) in Bhopal. Primary and secondary education in Madhya Pradesh is provided by government-run schools, as well as private institutions. The state has implemented a number of education initiatives, including the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, which aims to provide universal access to education for children between the ages of 6 and 14.
